ACS/LA GRAY WHALE CENSUS AND BEHAVIOR PROJECT

This shore-based whale census takes place on the Palos Verdes Peninsula and has been going on since 1979. Observers spot migrating Pacific Gray Whales on their annual migration both north and south from this vantage and record their observations of both their numbers and behavior. The project runs from December 1st through May 15th and is currently located at the Pt. Vicente Interpretive Center.

Members of the community are welcome to visit during daylight hours.
